A large part of becoming a good finger drummer is to actually become a good 'normal' drummer. Not the technique part, since we don't have to learn to coordinate both our hands and feet and we also don't have to worry about how to hold our drum sticks, but besides that, musically we have to learn how to churn out a solid, tasty drum part that works. That's why a lot of the stuff you'll learn on the Quest for Groove is in a way 'basic drumming knowledge'.
